About Me

I am a faculty member in the Faculty of Health Disciplines and have been a Registered Nurse for over 17 years. I’ve been teaching at the university on and off for about 9 years in the area of family nursing and community health. My direct clinical practice was in acute care (pulmonary and post-up thoracic surgery), primary care, community health, and home care with families of all ages.

I've held administrative positions as clinical lead, program director, and director within different institutions. I'm a mum of two beautiful boys and we live in a multi-generational and intercultural home - and life is full!

Research Interests

My research areas are in frailty, aging, health services research, patient engagement, and more recently film and media arts. I work with colleagues across institutions on grant funded projects and have co-authored publications in those research areas.
